World Population Day is celebrated every year on July 11. This year, we teamed up with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ), the Women’s Health Network (WHN) and the Women’s Centre Foundation Jamaica (WCFJ) to commemorate World Population Day at the St. Matthew’s Anglican Church in Santa Cruz. The theme for this year was “Family Planning: Empowering People, Developing Nations.” The NFPB donated more than $500,000 worth of contraceptives to the Santa Cruz Health Centre and the WHN.
